Learn more about KJ Projects
Hi, I am Kai Jie, or KJ for short. Thanks for stopping by my Creative Portfolio!
Currently, I am a Year 2 student pursuing Diploma in Design for User Experience at Republic Polytechnic where i design digital - websites & mobile applications and physical products centered around user experience.
Beyond academics, I am always exploring new interests - whether its volunteering, learning front-end coding, building LEGO models, mastering new card tricks and more!!
P.S. Scroll down to discover more surprises!
Previously, I was a Judoka with the Republic Polytechnic Judo Club, where I learned and practised key Judo techniques such as Nage-waza (throwing techniques) and Katame-waza (grappling techniques) under the guidance of the President of the Singapore Judo Federation (SJF).
Through countless training sessions—being thrown and throwing others—I grew stronger and more disciplined. I’m proud to have earned my Yellow-Tip Belt in Judo!
Moreover, i am actively involved in volunteering where i led, participated and contributed to the success of various volunteering projects/events/activities.
Currently, i am involved in Project Citizens - The First Million where i facilitate discussions, engage participants and document stories from senior citizens about Singapore's early years of independence. These stories will be featured in exhibitions for the opening of the Founders’ Memorial in 2028.
Through my volunteering projects, I have gained valuable experiences and stories from people across different age groups, ranging from youths to senior citizens. These experiences have helped me develop empathy for individuals from diverse backgrounds and situations, which is essential in UX/UI design.
